IT ALL STARTED WITH AN IDEA....
Like a lot of AMAZING ideas, Atlanta Hard Cider Co. came about over a couple of drinks... OK, maybe more than a couple. Due to a gluten intolerance, founders Mark and Liz Deno were in search of an all-natural hard cider and just couldn't find any locally. The metaphorical light bulb went off and the dream began...
After much research, (i.e. cider tastings,) Mark decided that he wanted to learn everything he could about making all-natural cider. He headed West to Portland, Oregon where he took Oregon State’s Cider Making Best Practices course and learned from European and Pacific Northwestern cider masters.
Fast forward four years later and here we are…making cider the way our founding fathers did and sharing it with our neighbors. Our cider is made from hand-picked freshly pressed U.S. apples and champagne yeast. Yep, you read that correctly, that's it. There is absolutely nothing artificial in our ciders. We are bringing true and authentic all-natural craft cider back to the South and are really proud of that!
